The 2026 Toyota C-HR returns to Canada in a fully electric version. More assertive, more powerful, and better equipped than ever, it joins Toyota’s new generation of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) with a clear proposition: a compact SUV featuring distinctive design, solid driving range, and enhanced performance.
Starting at $44,900 MSRP, it will be offered in three trims: SE, XSE AWD, and XSE Premium AWD.
The 2026 C-HR stays true to its bold DNA while adopting an even more pronounced coupe-like silhouette. Its hammerhead-inspired front design, flowing lines, and wide stance give it a dynamic presence on the road.
Built on Toyota’s dedicated e-TNGA electric platform, it features balanced proportions:
The result is a spacious cabin despite its compact footprint. Cargo capacity reaches 720 litres behind the rear seats and up to 1,685 litres with the 60/40 split rear seatbacks folded flat.

Inside, the 2026 C-HR delivers a cabin that blends technology and comfort. All trims come equipped with:
Customizable ambient lighting adds a premium touch, while materials vary by trim—from fabric/SofTex to synthetic suede with SofTex trim. The XSE Premium AWD also includes a fixed panoramic roof and a 9-speaker JBL audio system with an 800-watt amplifier.

The 2026 Toyota C-HR is equipped with a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery and an 11 kW onboard AC charger.

The low centre of gravity, thanks to the battery positioned under the floor, contributes to overall vehicle rigidity and stability.
The 2026 C-HR features a North American Charging System (NACS) port, compatible with DC fast-charging stations across the country.
Under ideal conditions, it can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes using a DC fast charger. It is also compatible with Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging.
These features allow for more precise management of range and energy efficiency.
All trims come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, including:
Also included:
XSE AWD trims also integrate advanced functions such as Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Front Cross-Traffic Alert.
